I use number 4 spoons and sometimes bigger for pike and they always work well, ive caught as small as 14 inches on a number 4, DEFINITELY not too big...

I found an amazing musky jerkbait for $5 once, it’s around 10 inches and 8 oz

I'm in florida, so no ice fishing, but Ive seen many a poles go over the side of a pier because someone walked away to do something else for 10 minutes

Awesome spoon action, I’ve been killing then this year on spinner baits in Wisconsin or topwater. Never thought to toss spoons for them but have def heard pike love spoons. When we salmon fish we catch them on spoons too. Pike are naturally so aggressive you can almost get em on whatever you’d prefer. :) happy fishing 🎣 awesome vid

I had a similar situation happen with a musky but it wasn’t with spreaders it was some fish grippers. Very small and feisty musky so I grabbed it with the grippers, took the hook out and the fish flopped out of the yak and swam off with my grippers still on its face

Don't hold pike horizontally when possible.....it tears there organs, ecspecially the big ones
